Slimmer Leven Challenge

A smartphone-app that monitors the intake of medication; that was the winning idea of the 2014 ‘Slimmer Leven Challenge’: a healthcare competition where students of the TU/e, Summa College, and Fontys work together. In 2015 new student teams will work together on smart solutions for a higher living standard for senior citizens who want to stay active, healthy, and socially involved. Director Hilde Meijs of the Summa College: “TU/e-students are creative brains, Summa-students know what goes on around the workplace and applied Fontys-students bring those worlds together. I’m already looking forward to the results!”

Pressure cooker

A total of 30 teams will use a ‘pressure cooker’ formula and have just one day to bundle knowledge and experience to create the best healthcare innovation of 2015. The five most inventive teams will advance to the next round and can count on specialist advice whilst developing their concepts further. Afterwards, companies will also lend a helping hand with planning implementation. The announcement of the winners will take place during the Dutch Technology Week, which this year is from the 5th until the 12th of June.
